SAMPLE indicates the dataset to which the case belongs. Each sample receives a unique 6-digit code. The code is structured as follows:

• The first two digits are the codes used in COUNTRY
• The next four digits are the year used to identify the dataset

Some surveys include data from more than one year (YEAR).
